The Infection Control Nurse assists the Director in the daily operations of Women and Infants Hospital's Infection Control program. Performs daily infection control surveillance activities. Monitor's infe! ction control practices in all hospital departments. Educates hospital staff at all levels concerning infection control. Investigates disease outbreaks.
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required. Masters Degree in healthcare field preferred. Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Rhode Island required. CIC certification preferred. Three to five years experience in nursing required. Excellent communication and teaching skills necessary.
