Registered Nurse, Certified Wound Care
Full Time Position
Visiting Nurse Home Care (VNHC) is a non-profit community-based home health organization that provides in-home services, nursing, social services, rehabilitative therapy, telemedicine and private duty to residents of Rhode Island and southern-Massachusetts.
Description : Terrific opportunity for experienced Certif! ied Wound Care Registered Nurse. This position provides direct! patient care and provides consultative services to clinical staff on wound care. Specifically, individual conducts home visits to assess, treat, and coordinate wound care with staff and physicians. Makes recommendations for wound care treatments that result in optimum patient outcomes. Reviews records, evaluates and enforces compliance with Home Care Regulations and Standards of Practice. Interprets the Agency Mission, objectives and policies to the staff and guides them in the delivery of superior and quality patient care
Qualifications :
- Graduate of accredited registered nurse program; BSN preferred. Current and valid license to practice nursing in Rhode Island and Massachusetts
- Minimum three - five years nursing experienced and at least two years experience in home care as a clinician
- Certification in Wound Care
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software Working knowledge of patient electronic health record preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills required
- Strong active listening skills and verbal/written communications skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to respond to the demands and continuous changes in the work environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
