Position Summary:
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), the country's preeminent art and design school, located in historic Providence, RI, is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join its Health Services Department. Reporting to Director Health Services, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides direct medical care to students, conducts physical exams, documents patients' progress, and implements health and wellness educational programs for the campus community. The NP keeps abreast of guidance set forth by the State Board of Registered Nursing and assists in the development of protocols in conjunction with the Director and physician(s). The NP recommends and implements daily procedures and clinic operations based on best practices and legal mandates.

Qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing required with a certification of Adult or Family Health with prescriptive privileges. Must possess st! ate of Rhode Island APRN license with prescriptive privileges.! Possession of a current federal DEA number. Current, valid CPR certification. Five to seven years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner with three years in college health. Understand technical and medical terminology. Must have strong computer literacy skills.
