Description: Newport Hospital is presently looking of Assistant Clinical Manager Surgical Services right now, this occupation will be placed in Rhode Island. Description : Under the direction of the Director, plans and directs comprehensive nursing care and coordinates the nursing process ! by assigning, instructing and supervising a Department team of professional and ancillary staff. Assists the Director to develop and maintain goals, objectives, staffing, work methods, policies and procedures. Assists the Nursing Staff through clinical consultation, coordination of the particular nursing resources available and assists in the provision of nursing care to patients. Assumes responsibility for managing department in absence of the Director. Maintains the standards of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Rhode Island, AORN, ASPAN, SGNA, and all other governing agencies of the Dept of Surgical Services. Covers, as needed, for staff vacancies.
Qualifications : Graduation from a school of nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in the nurse's primary state of legal residency if that state is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact. Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science or equivalent degree, actively pursui! ng degree and/or expectation to obtain such degree. Three to f! ive years of perioperative clinical experience and demonstrated leadership abilities including exceptional team building skills. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS. CNOR preferred.
