Description : The Director of Critical Care working in the Nursing Administration Unit reports to Associate Chief Nursing Officer, the! Director Inpatient Services Critical Care is accountable for the strategic direction, implementation of planned change and evaluation of critical care services for adult in-patients. *hc
Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field such as healthcare administration or its equivalent. Consideration will be given to internal candidates who are matriculated in a Master's Degree program. Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in another state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible related experience, preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex healthcare environment. Experience should demonstrate a very high level of written and verbal communication skills; the ability to conceptualize, develop, and effect quality in-patient ser! vices; effective leadership/management skills; and commitment ! to continuous quality improvement. Thorough knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Rhode Island is required. PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field such as healthcare administration or its equivalent.
