Director of Nursing
Location: Providence Rhode Island
Description: CharterCARE Health Partners is in need of Director of Nursing right now, this position will be placed in Rhode Island. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the nursing department at Elmhurst Extended Care. He/she is responsible for the overall direction, coord! ination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to Elders, interpreting policies and regulations to all nursing personnel to ensure compiance, and analyzing and evaluating nursing and related services to improve quality of care for Elders. He/she contributes to policy development, planning, decision-making and resource management. The Director of Nursing assumes responsibility of daily operations in the facility in the absence of the Vice President/Administrator.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required. Advanced education in Geriatrics is preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years e xperience as Registered Nurse and 5-7 years in a Director or leadership position with demonstrated success in caring for patients in their geriatric years, implementing changes to enhance quality of care, supervision of health care personnel. Experience in progressively complex administrative positions is desired.
Licensure: Must ! hold current RN license in the State of Rhode Island.
