Description: Our Lady Of Fatima Hospital is looking of Mental Health Specialist SJH right now, this career will be placed in Rhode Island. More details about this career opportunity please read the description below. Summary: Provides direct care and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu for Patients on assigned unit. The Mental Health Worker must adhere to all hospital and departm! ent policies and procedures. The Mental Health Worker provides care as assigned or directed by the RN and Nurse Manager. Examples of position responsibilities include: documenting patient observations (safety rounds) and accurately reporting patient status to the RN; monitoring vital signs and reporting findings to the RN; facilitating groups and activities as assigned or directed by the RN; assisting with ADL’s as assigned by the RN; and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as per department policy.

Education: High School Diploma , or equivalent, required. Further training, education, or coursework in the field of Psychology, Nursing, or Addiction Medicine preferred. Participation in the Departments orientation and training program is required. Licensure/Certification : Current CPR Certification required.

RI C N A preferred. CPI preferred. Experience: Experience in a psychiatric treatment setting preferred. Working Conditio! ns, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Works in! a well-lighted and well-ventilated area.

Must meet annual safety training requirements relative to a safe work place. Must meet health-testing requirements such as TB skin test annually. Frequent patient contact requires adherence to universal precautions at all times. May be required to lift heavy objects weighing 25 pounds from time to time.
