ABOUT THE LOCATION: Our client is located in southern Rhode Island just minutes from the beautiful coastal beaches. Along with being close to some of the best beaches in the world, the town is well within driving distance of the largest cities in the Northeast (Boston=80 miles, New York City=170 miles).

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: Our client is a MEDITECH Client Server 5.64 site.

Under the lead! ership of a progressive CIO, they have successfully met Stage ! One Meaningful Use requirements and are ranked at Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model. The department supports the information system needs of the acute care hospital, hospital-owned physician practices, as well as a home health agency and durable medical equipment business. POSITION PROFILE: Reporting to the CIO, the Applications Analyst works with members of the hospital community and other IS staff to analyze the informational needs of the hospital and to apply new and existing applications to best meet these needs. Responsibilities include managing application implementation projects, upgrading and maintaining application software, report writing, performing system administrative functions, developing and managing application interfaces, participating in a 24-hour on-call rotation, and assisting in the development of other staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience supporting MEDITECH B/AR application, including strong knowledge ! of Claims. Experience with MEDITECH Scanning & Archiving (SCA) module a plus. 2-3 years experience in a project leadership role implementing hospital information systems and demonstrating strong organizational skills. NPR Report writing skills required; SQL data reporting skills a plus.

Knowledge of HL-7 interfacing protocol with the ability to test and troubleshooting interfaces. Proven ability to interact professionally with staff and management at all levels of the organization. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Nursing Certification is preferred.
