Job Description The Executive Director of Nursing Education and Nursing Practice Development, reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and Sr VP of Patient Ca! re, is responsible for designing, facilitating and monitoring standardized professional practices of clinicians while fostering achievement of performance excellence at all levels. She/he utilizes research and evidence to create and implement strategies that strengthen the clinical professional workforce, clinical practices and resulting clinical product to advance professionalism & patient care while promoting job satisfaction and meaning in ones work. The Executive Director of Nursing Education and Nursing Practice Development integrates research, policy, education and an evidence based practice platform into the Department of Nursing. The Executive Director is committed to service, teamwork and communication through respect. She/he demonstrates strong skills in time management, contributes to and supports the organizations financial position.
Required Education Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and matriculation in a PhD or DNP program with completion in less than 1! year required, PhD in Nursing or DNP preferred. Experience in! an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) role preferred. Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island. A minimum of five years clinical experience in women's health and five years of progressive management experience required. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to plan strategically to meet the needs of the departments required. Knowledge of the Magnet credentialing process preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be proficient in the English language.
